I became a "Starkling" at the University of Kentucky in 1977. In 2 years of graduate work, I learned more from him about the "technique" of playing the piano that I ever had before. He had a physical solution to every problem I encountered. Hardly a day goes by that I do not think of him with thankfulness as I am playing the piano. What a gift he was and still is to me!
